The vast majority of Table Tennis England members are returning to the sport as league seasons get into full swing – and thousands of new members have joined us for 2021/22.

Our membership figures currently stand at more than 23,400, which is 81.5% of the pre-pandemic figure for the same point two years ago. Of these, almost 19,600 are in one of the paid-for membership categories.

Our figures also show more than 4,400 people who were not members in either of the last two seasons have joined us, indicating new members or those returning to the sport after a break which began before the pandemic.

Around 2,800 people who were members in the previous two season have not yet joined this season, but this number has been steadily declining over the last few weeks, indicating that people are still signing up as local leagues get going.

Members have also been taking advantage of the convenience of signing up to auto renewal – of the 3,500 auto renewals which were removed due to members requesting their 50% discount or their cards expiring, more than 2,600 have been reinstated.
