Nottinghamshire retained the title as the County Championships Junior Premier Division took place at Wood Green Table Tennis Centre in Wednesbury last weekend.
The counties taking part were Derbyshire, Essex, Kent, Lancashire. Nottinghamshire, Surrey and Sussex. Unfortunately, the Devon team was a late withdrawal.
Nottinghamshire proved to be too strong, winning all six matches comfortably, retaining the trophy from the 2019/20 season – the last time the competition was played, pre-pandemic.
Nottinghamshire had both the highest boys’ and girls’ winning percentages, with Naphong Boonyaprapa winning all 12 of his matches, the only person to remain undefeated over the weekend, and Anna Green winning 11 out of 12 of her matches.
Lancashire finished runners-up, winning five out of their six matches, repeating their finishing position from the 2019/20 season.
All the details, including the final league table, can be found on the County Championships TT Leagues website.
