Tom Jarvis and Sam Walker both went out of the WTT Feeder Otocec event in the last 64 of the men’s singles.
Jarvis was up against second seed and world No 32 Marcos Freitas of Portugal and was defeated in four close games.
Walker (pictured above) also lost in four, to Lubomir Jancarik of the Czech Republic, ranked 15 places higher than Walker at No 76.
Walker & Jarvis won in the doubles, however – a good 3-2 win against Austrian pair Alexander Chen & David Serdaroglu.
They then faced Chan Baldwin Ho Wah & Wong Chun Ting of Hong Kong in the quarter-finals and were eliminated in four.
Jarvis & Charlotte Bardsley got a second chance in the mixed doubles when, having been eliminated in qualifying, they were drawn as lucky losers to go into the main draw.
However, they were defeated in three by Slovakian pair Lubomir Pistej & Barbora Balazova, the fourth seeds.
