The first major Junior event of the season in the north of England, the Stiga Blackpool Junior 4* Open, takes place over the weekend of September 24 and 25 – and entries are still open.

4* events not only allow player to test themselves against high-class opposition, but they also form part of the qualifying route into the Mark Bates Ltd Cadet, U17 and Junior Nationals later in the season, so the motivation is there for players to enter.

The competition features boys’ and girls’ events in the following categories: Under-13 singles; Cadet singles and team; Under-17 singles; Junior singles and team. The closing date for entries is August 13.
