Sienna Jetha reached the knockout stage in two age groups at the WTT Youth Contender Otocec in Slovenia, while Mari Baldwin and Anna Green also got through the group stage.

Jetha (pictured above) went through in both the under-13 and under-15 categories. In the older age grop, she was defeated in the round of 32 by Veronika Polacova of the Czech Republic, the seventh seed and world No 144 Junior.

In the under-13s, Jetha won all three group matches to go through to the last 16, where she was defeated by Austria’s Nina Skerbinz, who at No 307 is ranked 38 places higher than Jetha.

Baldwin was the only one of four England players to get through to the last 32 of the under-19s, losing out to Martine Toftaker of Norway, ranked 24 places above her at world No 84. Megan Jones, Jasmin Wong and Anna Green all went out in the group stage.

Green, ranked 288, did make it through in the under-17s, however, thanks to a comeback 3-2 (5-11, 11-7, 4-11, 11-8, 11-7) victory over higher-ranked Czech player Anna Holejsovska (No 244).

She was then beaten in the last 64 by Alesia Sferlea of Romania, ranked No 106. Jones was knocked out in the group stage.
