The ITTF Parkinson’s World Table Tennis Championships has been shortlisted in two categories at the Sports Business Awards.

The 2021 edition of the event, held in Berlin, is shortlisted in the Sports Diversity & Inclusion Award, up against seven other contenders including Harlequins and Rugby League World Cup 2021.

It also makes a five-strong shortlist for the Best Sports Governing Body Initiative, where it was up against the likes of The FA and the international Hockey Federation.

The winners in a total of 19 categories will be announced in a ceremony at The Kia Oval in London on 18 November.

Table Tennis England supported two players – Jan Fuller and George Chan to attend the 2021 Championships in Berlin, where they won five medals between them, including a gold apiece.
