Table tennis lovers can bid for a piece of unique artwork inspired by our sport – and raise money for charity and the arts at the same time.

Art of Ping Pong has created a collection of hand-crafted bats by established and up-and-coming artists, which are currently on display at an exhibition at The Civic creative arts hub in Barnsley.

The exhibition runs until November 10, after which each piece of artwork is available to buy – bids are already being accepted via an online auction which ends at midnight on November 10.

The proceeds will be donated to The Civic and the Choose Love charity, which provide refugees and displaced people with everything from lifesaving rescue boats to food and legal advice and has reached more than 3.5 million people worldwide.
