With the Area Manager team now in place and Local Organising Group Chairs being appointed, we are now starting to look at the formation of the seven Local Organising Groups across England.
The Local Organising Groups will also support the design and delivery of a Local Delivery Plan that delivers the aspirations of Table Tennis United but in a way that translates our national strategy into meeting local priorities.
The Local Delivery Plan is designed to deliver in a focused way and support and complement the work already happening locally through counties, clubs, leagues and other table tennis partners, working alongside these key organisations.
We are now looking for people from a range of places and backgrounds to be involved in shaping the Local Delivery Plans and activity across each Area and helping deliver on those actions and priorities.
We are seeking skilled people from within the table tennis community, our numerous partners and organisations which support table tennis and individuals and who want to help the sport thrive and grow.
Specifically, we are looking for people who can demonstrate skills in the following areas:
- Identifying and establishing partnerships
- Workforce and volunteer development, including but not limited to coaching, event volunteering and officiating
- Junior participation
- Club management
- Competition delivery
- Talent and pathway
- Social media, marketing and communications
- Engaging and working with women and girls, people from disadvantaged backgrounds, Disabled People and people from ethnic minority backgrounds
- Income generation and revenue generation
- Ability to open new doors to new audiences
We believe table tennis is the best sport in the country, engaging so many different people and providing a truly inclusive and engaging sport that anyone can play. So, if you are someone who loves the sport or sees the opportunities sport brings to help deliver on wider social outcomes, then we’d love to hear from you.
