BATTS and St Neots have been selected to host the National Cup competitions in the 2023/24 season.
BATTS, in Harlow, will host the Junior National Cup on the weekend of April 20-21, 2024, while St Neots (pictured above) will welcome the Cadet players on the weekend of May 18-19.
Both the Cadet and Junior National Cups will see the top 10 boys and girls in the rankings play in a round-round competition to determine the final standings.
In a change to recent seasons, there will be no invitation for the top two Cadets to compete in the Junior National Cup. This is because, due to various schedule clashes both internationally and domestically, the Junior competition is taking place earlier in the season than the Cadet edition.
The two venues were chosen after an open tender process, as was the case last season. Both hosts have previously run successful National Cup events – BATTS hosted the Juniors last season, while St Neots hosted the Cadets in 2022. As was the case last season, there were no applications from the North or Midlands.
