The time has come to nominate your local heroes in the Pride of Table Tennis Awards!
Nominations are now open as we seek to honour the amazing volunteers of our sport, who give their time, enthusiasm and expertise to help others thrive.
This year, you can nominate in four categories:
Volunteer of the Year
To recognise a person over 25 years of age for their dedication, commitment or impact in/on table tennis on a voluntary basis over the past 12 months. This may take place at a club, local community, league, county, schools county, area or national level.
This category will have both male and female winners.
Young Volunteer of the Year

This may take place at a club, local community, league, county, schools county, area or national level and includes those young people involved in coaching and/or officiating.
This category will have both male and female winners.
Contribution to Table Tennis
To recognise the outstanding contribution to table tennis this person gives through their time and talents which enables others to participate and succeed – it is open to any age but must be for a recognition of at least 10 years’ service (but less than 30 years) in a club, league, county or area.
Lifetime Achievement Award
To recognise a person whose long service of an exceptional and outstanding standard over more than 30 years has made a real and significant difference to table tennis in a club, league, county or area.
The closing date for nominations is Monday January 22nd, 2024.
Once you have nominated in any of the categories, we will send you a certificate to present to your nominee at your club/league.
All the local award-winners will be celebrated across our platforms in February 2024, when the judging panel will also select the national finalists.
The national winners will be revealed during the Mark Bates Ltd Senior National Championships in Nottingham in March.
London Area Manager Johnathon Driscoll, who also leads on Pride of Table Tennis Awards for Table Tennis England, said: “Pride of Table Tennis shines a light on those volunteers who make enormous and often unseen or unheralded contributions to our sport.
“Without them, so much table tennis participation or performance would not be able to happen and countless people wouldn’t be able to flourish in and enjoy the sport.
“If someone you know makes a contribution like this, then please nominate them now and help us to reward the unsung heroes of our sport.”
