Hi, and welcome to the West Area Development page.
Welcome to the West Area pages. We are covering Derbyshire, Herefordshire, Shropshire, Staffordshire, Warwickshire and Worcestershire. My name is Chris Newton and I undertake a dual role at Table Tennis England both as West Area Manager and Technical Operations Manager for the Events Team. I have a long background in table tennis from volunteering with clubs and leagues right through to senior leadership positions at Olympic and Commonwealth Games.
These pages are intended to provide you with various information and case studies about table tennis groups who are actively developing their clubs and leagues.
West Local Organising Group
Local Organising Groups (LOGs) are formed of volunteers from the table tennis community and external partners and organisations who work with us to bring table tennis alive locally. They are there to provide support and guidance to the Area Manager and take an action-led approach to helping deliver the Local Delivery Plan. Click here for more information on Local Organising Groups.
The members of the West Local Organising Group are:
Name | Club/Organisation | Role on LOG |
Martin Clayton | Birmingham | Chair |
Helen Lower | Staffordshire | International and club coach |
Anne Moore | Shropshire | Community clubs |
Sophie Tobin | Sported | |
Adam Walden | Sport Birmingham |
