Table Tennis England are looking to recruit a Community Ping Coach for the Great Northern Warehouse Ping Hub running in Manchester from 20th January to 29th February 2024. The seven table GNW Ping Hub is linked to the World TT Feeder event taking place at the Manchester Velodrome from 1-4 Feb 2024.
The initiative is part of a wider programme aimed at linking primary schools (TT Kidz) and social table tennis programmes with Premier Clubs, Associate Clubs and local leagues, in cities hosting major table tennis events up to and beyond the World TT Championships in London in 2026.
Contract type: Part time, various hours available.
Remuneration: up to £25k pa, pro rata
Term: 20th Jan to 29th Feb 2024
The role includes being responsible for leading and delivering exciting and engaging table tennis activity at the Ping Hub site in Manchester:
- Up to 25 hours pw delivery of onsite activities e,g.: TT Kidz Primary School taster sessions, Man Utd Foundation sessions, Coaching, Women & Girls sessions, Club take over days, Master Classes, Workplace sessions……
- Be the point of contact for all Ping Hub activities and ensure they are delivered in a safe and friendly environment.
- Sign posting participants towards play on opportunities within Manchester and neighbouring boroughs.
- Hours may vary: morning, afternoon and occasional evening sessions.
- Assist with the promotion of bookings and take up of activities.
- Process daily monitoring & evaluation of sessions.
- Be responsible for the provision and safe storage of equipment and tidiness of the playing area.
