The table tennis community has united to recognise the inspirational contributions of our Volunteers and Young Volunteers in clubs and leagues across the nation.

We have received more than 70 nominations to the Pride of Table Tennis Awards, which celebrate and honour the fantastic contributions that have been made.

Volunteers play a vital role in various aspects of the sport. They are involved in setting up and organising tournaments, managing facilities, coaching players, officiating matches, handling administrative tasks such as registrations and finances, promoting the sport in local communities and creating a welcoming environment for participants.

Without the dedication and contributions of volunteers, table tennis clubs and leagues would struggle to thrive and provide opportunities for players of all levels to enjoy and excel in the sport.

Johnathon Driscoll, who leads the Pride of Table Tennis Awards at Table Tennis England, said: “Congratulations to this year’s local winners of the Pride of Table Tennis Awards! The nominations we received are inspiring and highlight the crucial role of volunteers and young volunteers in our sport.

“Everyone in the table tennis family fully appreciates their dedication and contributions to the sport and we would like to thank them for their exceptional efforts by recognising and honouring them through the Pride of Table Tennis Awards.”

The Pride of Table Tennis Awards are being celebrated at local and national level. Those nominated at local level have now been forwarded to our national award panel, with the winners being revealed at the Mark Bates Ltd Senior National Championships in Nottingham later this month.  

Those nominated at local have or will be awarded a certificate to recognise and celebrate their achievements.
