It is now six months since the Table Tennis England Board approved implementation of the National Competition Review – and work is continuing in preparation for a new-look league and tournaments calendar from 2024/25 onwards.
A new section on this website brings together all the key information and resources in a ‘one-stop shop’ where members can find everything they need to know about the National Competition Review and new structure.
The section will be updated regularly as the Review progresses, with some changes happening next season and the remainder in 2025/26.
What is the National Competition Review?
The National Competition Review will deliver a fit-for-purpose competition programme to ensure the future growth and success of the sport in England.
It has been designed to create improved competitive opportunities for our young players, supporting the Talent and Performance pathway; offer more localised opportunities to compete for people of all ages and abilities; and provide a structured competition calendar both locally and nationally.
It is the result of extensive research, insight, consultation, analysis and modelling phases, tested at every stage by a fully representative and expert Steering Group and agreed at each stage by the Table Tennis England Board.
