The 2024 Ambassador scheme was launched on International Women’s Day with the objectives to:

  • Amplify the different voices of Women and Girls in table tennis
  • Improve the visibility of Women and Girls in table tennis
  • Share a better understanding of experiences in the sport
  • Improve the connection between Table Tennis England and the Women and Girls community
  • Increased opportunities for Women and Girls such as coaching, volunteering and playing
  • Provide Women and Girls representatives on Local Organising Group

Jenny Leach, Senior Partnerships and Programmes Manager says: “The Women and Girls Ambassador programme has a diverse mix of experiences and roles in the sport. We have met as a group already and I look forward to seeing the impact of the programme.”

Ambassador Kate Grant said: “I’m looking forward to the Ambassadors’ journey – who knows who we can engage, encourage and convert to enjoy this wonderful sport!”

The Ambassadors will work very closely with their Area Manager as well as the other Ambassadors based in their area. The programme is key in contributing towards our future vision of Gender Parity. We will share regular updates on how the Ambassadors are getting on in their area.
