Oscar Nikolli reached a semi-final at the WTT Youth Contender San Francisco, beating fellow Futures squad player Nishil Shah on the way.

Both players got through their groups in the Under-13 Boys’ Singles, and Shah then had a good 3-2 (5-11, 14-12, 11-7, 6-11, 12-10) win over Mohammed Musthafa of the host nation in the last 16.

The two English players met in the quarter-finals and it was a 3-0 (11-9, 11-7, 11-8) win for top seed Nikolli, who was then beaten 3-0 (11-9, 11-5, 11-6) in the semi-finals by Vraj Amin of the USA.

Both Nikolli and Janak Shah reached the last 16 of the Under-15s, while Nishil Shah went out in the groups. In the Under-17s, Janak Shah went out in the groups.
