England have named a squad of five players for the European Individual Championships in Austria in October.

Liam Pitchford, Paul Drinkhall, Tom Jarvis and Sam Walker will compete in the men’s competitions and Tin-Tin Ho in the women’s.

They will all play in their respective singles events, while the doubles pairings will be Pitchford & Drinkhall and Jarvis & Walker in the men’s and Jarvis & Ho in the mixed.

Connor Green has been named as reserve for the men’s competitions – England is only entitled to four places as a result of not reaching the quarter-finals of the last European Team Championships.

Tianer Yu came under consideration for the women’s events but will instead continue her development on the WTT circuit.

The European Championships is in Linz from October 15-20.
