Natalie Green has been appointed as the Table Tennis England DiSE Lead and Talent Pathway Support. Natalie brings a wealth of experience coaching young players both nationally and internationally for the last 15 years. Once an international player, now an experienced, skilled and accomplished individual who will take on the role supporting Emma Vickers as Head of Pathway to create a system leading talent pathway, Natalie will lead our DiSE programme and work closely with our Performance Development Centres.
DiSE is a two-year programme that gives the opportunity for current and aspiring performance players aged 16-18 who are in full time further education to access the Diploma in Sporting Excellence (DiSE) . Designed to directly measure a players’ ability to plan, apply, and evaluate their development in a performance context, players have access to training opportunities across 4-5 weekends within the season. The camps include both on the table training and off the table work, including physical training, and workshop-based activities. Players also complete a portfolio of work which focuses on multiple elements of performance sport (for example, nutrition, goal setting, programme planning, lifestyle, and psychology) clearly demonstrating and evidencing how they are applying this learning to their daily training programmes.
Gavin Evans, Head of Performance Development said, “I am really excited to start working with Natalie. She has a huge amount of experience and skills that will be vital in developing our talent pathway and leading our DiSE programme”
Natalie Green commented, “I’m excited to be joining Table Tennis England in this new role, especially at this time where there is a real push around the new strategy. I am looking forward to working with the rest of the performance team to continue the great work they have been doing to support the players in the pathway”.
