Hi all and welcome to the last blog of 2024!

Firstly, let me say that our sport would be nothing without the continued service of our tireless volunteers. These people are the heartbeat of the sport and often do two, three, sometimes four jobs without much recognition! Now is the time to nominate these superstars for a Pride of Table Tennis Award.

Nominations are open by visiting the awards page here:

From me, it is a massive thank you and congratulations for all the excellent volunteers that I have had the pleasure of meeting through the year.

I am also looking forward to the new year and we have some fantastic new initiatives that are coming up!

First is our Coaching CPD workshop at Worthing TTC. This is aimed at aany coaches (regardless of level) who are curious about coaching methodology and want to discuss aspects of coaching to see if we can increase our tool box to help our players. Spaces are limited and the cost is only £15 – bookable simply by scanning the QR code on the image below.

We have been asked to look at playing opportunities for club players outside of British League and county levels etc., and how we can provide more opportunites for people just getting into playing slighlty more serieously than some social play in their club or in their local leagues.

So, later in the year we will be launching the new “Aspire” series of events for club players who are looking for a bit more out of their table tennis. These will be graded events so you will get planty of games against some new faces all around similar playing standards.

This is a new intiative and one that we are hoping takes off. We have 4 venues lined up for March and April next year but if your club is interested in hosting one, please contact me direclty.

Please keep an eye out for more details and how you can book a place!

Wishing everyone a Happy Xmas and prosperous New Year, and table tennis in the area keeps going from strength to strength.
