As I write this blog, the festive period is fast approaching and with that, the opportunity to take some time out to relax and recharge the batteries.
December has been a fast-moving month with a number of projects/initiatives coming to fruition.
On Sunday 1st December, it was fantastic to work with Luton Table Tennis Club to deliver our U11 Development Competition. The event was a great success, with 20 young taking part and each playing 7 matches across a 3.5-hour period. A special thanks once again to Luton Table Tennis Club for hosting and I’m looking forward to working with the club again in hosting the next tournament in April.
The East area has also played host to a L1 Umpires Course this month, with 17 candidates undertaking the qualification on Sunday 8th December. A massive thank you to St Neots Table Tennis Club for hosting.
Finally, I also had the pleasure of joining Stilton Table Tennis Club on Monday 9th December as they welcomed their local MP to their weekly Bat N Chat session – more can be found on the visit by clicking on the link below.
2024 has been a year of real progress in the East. There have been some great projects/initiatives that have been delivered in the area across the year and I look forward to developing even more opportunities in 2025.
Yours in Table Tennis
Chris
