Ormesby will be hoping to regain top spot of the Premier Division this weekend after Brighton leapfrogged them thanks to an early round six fixture.

The current title holders emphatically swept aside North Ayrshire dropping just one end on their way to a 7-0 victory. Shoma Nishihara, David Andersson and Alex Naumi were simply too good for their hosts. It put them top of the table thanks to having lost just one game so far and by virtue of having played one more match than Ormesby

The Cleveland-based side will return to leading the eight-team division should they overcome Drumchapel Glasgow on Sunday afternoon. Given the previous fixture between the two it would be a real upset should the hosts overturn last season’s runners up. However, they go into the tie full of confidence having picked up their first win of the campaign last time out.

It would take a dramatic change in fortunes for Ormesby to not be in title contention come the end of the season. In an incredibly impressive first half they dropped just eight of the 35 matches played. The strength and depth of their playing squad demonstrated by the fact only two matches have been lost of the 22 played between Jose Enio Mendes, Graeme Barella, Benjamin Piggott and David McBeath.

For Drumchapel Glasgow it took five rounds to find a first win. Aaron McKibbin picked up a player of the match award as they beat North Ayrshire to register a victory in December.

BATTS have stood alone in third for most of the season so far, unable to beat the two sides above but comfortably clear of those behind. They are in action on Saturday, welcoming Fusion to Harlow.

Throughout the campaign they have been close to challenging the top two, but just unable to do enough to really get into the title mix.

Fusion could find themselves locked in a scrap at the bottom of the table if they are unable to find a few more positive results over reverse fixtures. They have so far only notched one win, Shaquille Webb Dixon helped them to a win over Drumchapel Glasgow in round four.

All fixtures will be streamed live on each home side’s YouTube channel.
