The race to be crowned Premier Division champion is hotting up, with every fixture from now until the end of the season in May crucial to where the trophy ends up.

Ormesby had seemingly been cruising to the title, not dropping a match for six straight rounds. North Ayrshire changed all that two weeks ago with one of the all-time upsets, stunning the league leaders and knocking them off top spot.

The Cleveland-based side will be looking to bounce straight back as they travel to Fusion on Saturday. A win will be vital if they are to keep up the pressure at the top, and ultimately send the league to a final-day decider against Brighton.

Fusion need a victory to help move themselves away from bottom places. With just one win all season they will have their work cut out, but as North Ayrshire proved, anything is possible in this division. Shaquille Webb Dixon and father-son duo of Larry and Lorestas Trumpauskas have been the mainstay of their squad throughout this campaign, and will rely heavily on their experience to upset the visitors.

Drumchapel Glasgow travel to fellow Scottish side North Ayrshire at possibly the worst point in the season. Martin Johnson was in the form of his life to help his side over the line against Ormesby, and should he be available will take some stopping. A win for the travelling side will be enough to ensure they remain in mid-table. For Drumchapel Glasgow a victory would be incredibly valuable as they look to move off the bottom of the table.

BATTS will continue their season with a trip to new league leaders Brighton. They have been third throughout the campaign thanks to defeats against Ormesby and Brighton in the early season. If they want a chance to challenge for silverware they will have to fare better in the reverse fixtures.

This Sunday presents an opportunity to lay down a marker against a strong Brighton squad. The south-coast side will have been buoyed by Ormesby’s defeat last week, as they now know that should they win every game of the run-in they will be crowned league champions.
