The role of the tournament organiser
A tournament organiser is responsible for the smooth and successful running of a tournament. They will plan the type of tournament, book the venue, establish committees, recruit volunteers and attract entries into the tournament.

How to plan a competition
If you are planning a competition, you will need to approach the Tournament Approval Panel.
The Tournament Approval Panel is the committee responsible for the following:
- To sanction external events, upon application, in line with TTE regulations
- To co-ordinate and publish the TTE competition calendar against a set of established event priorities
- To assess external events delivery against TTE regulations and requirements
- To administer the player sanction scheme
