Maria was a key part of the England team which won an historic first Commonwealth Games medal at Gold Coast in 2018, taking team bronze in Australia.
She competed at her second Commonwealth Games in Birmingham in 2022.
She has won a number of national titles through the age groups, culminating in taking the senior women’s singles title for the first time in 2019 – when she was also a women’s doubles gold medallist for the fifth time.
An exuberant personality, Maria Tsaptsinos won the TASS Star of the Year award in 2018.
