Applications are open for the position of Table Tennis England Chair as Sandra Deaton nears the end of her second term of office.
As set out in the Government’s Code for Sports Governance, the Chair must be appointed by the Board following an open and transparent application process.
That process has now started and a role information pack, which includes details about the role, personal qualities and skills required, and details of how to apply, can be downloaded here.
The deadline for applications is noon on Friday, March 17, after which a shortlist will be drawn up by the Nominations Committee, which will be chaired by Senior Independent Director Steve Kemish throughout this process.
First and second stage Interviews are expected to be held in April 2023.
A recommended candidate will be put forward to the Board, with the intention of announcing an appointment in May.
Succession handover will then begin between Sandra and the appointed Chair, who will be invited to the June Board meeting.
Sandra will chair her final AGM on July 8 and the new Chair will officially take up office for their four-year term on September 1.
The Chair is permitted to serve a maximum of two four-year terms in office. Sandra was appointed in 2019 for her second term.
