Table tennis volunteer Debbie Oram won’t win a gold medal at the Paris Olympics – but she will be celebrating a golden achievement as she clocks up her 50th major event as a volunteer.

SBL Championship penultimate weekend report
Ahead of a crucial weekend in the SBL Championship Division, the league table was reflecting a tense narrative at both ends. With BATTS 2 and London Academy 1 neck and neck at 17 points each, the pressure was mounting for the leading duo to maintain their winning ways. A Girls’ National Talent Identification Day aims to identify young players with the potential to join the England Talent Pathway. Run by the England Performance team and coaches on the SHEcoaches programme, the event is for girls aged seven to 11 and is at the David Ross Sports Village in Nottingham on Saturday May 25.
