This weekend’s sole fixture will be crucial to where the Senior British Clubs League Premier Division cup ends up.

David McBeath, Ben Piggott and Yoan Rebetez will line up for Ormesby knowing that should they win, it will in all likelihood set up a final day decider against Brighton on 17th May.

Both McBeath and Piggott have been superb this season, dropping just four of the 22 matches they have played between them. It is no wonder that they once again are in contention for the league title with such a strong core squad.

Rebetez put in a player of the match performance last time out to help them bounce back from a shock defeat to North Ayrshire. They swept aside a testing Fusion trio to get their campaign back on track.

For BATTS, third place looks to be theirs barring any major upsets across the final two rounds. Their only losses this year have come from the two teams above them in Brighton and Ormesby. In the reverse fixture they went down to a David McBeath masterclass, but are sure to provide a stern test for the north-east side.

Whilst they were comprehensively beaten by Brighton just two weeks ago they will be hoping to prove that they can challenge for the championship in the future.

In a week’s time Brighton will be hopeful of a win against bottom of the table Drumchapel Glasgow, so should Ormesby slip up their title aspirations could disappear. That takes place on 26th April, with Fusion playing North Ayrshire on the same day.
in the future.
