Three victories from their last four matches will give BATTS II the title as the Senior British Clubs League, Championship division comes to a climax this weekend.
A 100% record on Weekend 4, including victory over nearest rivals Ormeau, means the Harlow club are in pole position, with a lead of three points over the Ulster club at the top of the table going into the final weekend of the season.
Perry Dale in third can mathematically still win the title, but as they are seven points behind the leaders and four behind Ormeau – with a maximum of eight points available – it would take such an unlikely sequence of results that the notion can all but be dismissed.

Indeed, with BATTS’ first match of the weekend coming against bottom-placed and winless Wensum, it will surely be down to two contenders by Saturday lunchtime.
Ormeau will be confident of at least extending the title battle into Sunday as they face ninth-placed Woodford Wells, followed by Wensum, on Saturday.
BATTS have a potential banana skin when they meet fourth-placed Wymondham on Saturday afternoon and then play hosts Nottingham, currently in seventh, on Sunday morning. Ormeau’s opponents in that round are fifth-placed Ormesby II.
If BATTS have not clinched the title already, they will have the chance against eighth-placed Milton Keynes on Sunday afternoon, while Ormeau face Perry Dale.
In the battle to top the averages, Ormeau have two in the top three of the more active players – Mat Ware having won 15 out of 16 (93.75%) and Jonathan Mooney 24/28 for 85.71%.
They are split by Max Radiven of Perry Dale, who has won 21/24 (87.5%), with BATTS’ Ryan Choong just behind Mooney with 20/24 (83.33%). There is also a clutch of players who have won 7/8.
