The National Series will feature bigger divisions and more central locations for the 2025/26 season among improvements to the format following consultation.
The series provides a regular high-quality competitive opportunity for the top cohort in each youth age-group – Under-13, Cadet (U15) and Junior (U19).
Following the inaugural series this season, changes have been agreed for 2025/26 based on feedback received from participants, parents, clubs and coaches.
All rounds of the Under-13 and Junior competitions will take place at Grantham College and all rounds of the Cadets will be in Nottingham TTC. These venues were selected following an open tender earlier this year.
Geographically more central and closer venues helps address feedback based on location and to support families and coaches who have players across both venues over the two days.
The standard division size will increase from six players to eight, to allow divisions to absorb any absences that occur, helping ensure stable groups throughout the series. There will be between two and four divisions per category based on a review of this season.
The series will be played over three rounds:
- 18 & 19 October
- 15 & 16 November
- 24 & 25 January, 2026
The girls’ divisions will take place on the Saturday, with the boys playing on the Sunday.
There will be two promotion and two relegation places in each division after each round, with the winner of the final round being crowned National Series champion.
Invitations will be based on the rankings published in September.
Meanwhile, the Under-21 National Cup, which was also inaugurated this season, will be played over the weekend of 25-26 October. Invitations will be based on the rankings published in September.
As in this season, BATTS TTC in Harlow will host, following the open tender process.
