As summer draws to a close and the nights draw in and with the table tennis season about to start, it’s been a busy but highly productive time for Area Manager projects across the East area. Please find below details of some of the highlights from the previous month or so.
Ping Pong Social – Welwyn Garden City
Saturday 23rd August played host to the first ever Ping Pong Social Event at the Ping Pong Parlour in Welwyn Garden City. New Ping Pong Parlour in Stevenage

Woodbridge Ping Hub
In conjunction with Woodbridge Table Tennis Club, Drain Doctor and a host of local partners, the first part of the Woodbridge Ping Hub is set to be launched from w/b Monday 29th September. The Ping Hub will start with Free-2-Play sessions, offering local residents the opportunity to take part in up to 7 hours worth of free table tennis. The Bramford Community TTC Story
In late August, we launched our Spotlight On piece in conjunction with Bramford Community Table Tennis Club, which has been working alongside local residents to tackle social isolation through table tennis. The success of the project has led to it being nominated for an Active Suffolk award in the ‘Active Community Of The Year’ category. A special mention goes to Henry Waters for his work on this over the past 12 months. Watch the video here:
