Hello and Welcome to the March 2024 east area blog.
I wanted to use this latest blog as an opportunity to relay progress on how the east area Local Organising Group is developing.
One of my first priorities when I’m came into post in November of last year was to develop the Local Organising Group for the area, which in time, will help drive the Local Delivery Plan forward.
So what is a LOG? A Local Organising Group is made up of passionate and knowledgeable people designed to help, advise, inform and support each Area Manager in delivering the priorities identified in Table Tennis United.
At Table Tennis England, we are looking for people that have experience and skills in one or more of the following areas to support the Area Manager in the delivery of the Local Delivery Plan:
- Identifying and establishing partnerships
- Workforce development – Coaching, Volunteering, Officiating
- Junior Participation
- Club Management
- Competition Delivery
- Talent and Pathway
- Social Media, Marketing and Communications
- Engaging and working with women and girls
- Income generation and revenue generation
- Ability to open doors to new audiences
At the time of writing this blog, I’m delighted to share with the area that Sandra Deaton has agreed to become interim area chair until the LOG has been established.
We have also managed to successfully recruit both Jordan Tweed and Liam Squirrell. Both Jordan and Liam bring a wealth of experience in their respective roles as Chair of the Loughborough League and Liam as Head Coach at Matchpoint TTC in Essex. I’m looking forward to working with them both over the coming months.
As we are still very much in the recruitment stage for the LOG across the East area, I would love to hear from you if you would like to get involved and help shape the delivery plan moving forwards for the area.
As always, my door is always open for a chat. Please feel free to use the contact details below and look forward to hearing from you shortly.
