As the new season approaches, now is the perfect time to explore potential funding opportunities for your organisation. Several major funds are currently open to support grassroots projects across London—particularly those helping underserved young people access sport and physical activity.

Go! London Foundation Fund

One of the biggest opportunities is the Go! London Foundation Fund, first launched in 2023 as the flagship investment in community sport and physical activity across the capital.

Round 4 is now open, offering:

  • Up to £40,000 for grassroots organisations delivering physical activity opportunities for underserved Londoners aged 4–24.
  • Up to £55,000 for projects providing specialised support.

This round focuses on increasing activity levels among young people most at risk of poverty, social exclusion, or discrimination. In addition to boosting participation, projects should aim to improve:

  • Physical and mental health
  • Safety and social connections
  • Access to education and employment

Eligibility

To apply, your organisation must:

  • Be a not-for-profit working with children and young people aged 4–24 in London
  • Have an annual income under £500,000
  • Not currently receive more than £50,000 in revenue grants from Go! London partners (unless these end by 31 December 2025)
  • Pay the London Living Wage for funded roles
  • Have safeguarding policies in place

Local authorities, schools, and private companies cannot apply but may act as unpaid delivery partners.
