Monday 19th August saw the second of two Table Tennis training camps take place at UCLan. In total forty-two of the best players from ten different clubs across the North-West attended the training day. Travelling to the Preston campus from Lancashire, Greater Manchester, Merseyside, Cheshire and Cumbria. Participants ranged in age from ten to eighteen years old, many of them being nationally ranked including some who are in the top five for their age range and several England internationals.

WOMEN & GIRLS 1 STAR OPEN, BLACKPOOL

The first Women and Girls 1 Star Open in the North West is being held on Saturday 28th September at Blackpool Sports Centre. The tournament has Over and Under-21s events in the morning and an Open Junior Girls, U19 and Cadet event in the afternoon. It is the perfect event for all those up and coming new players and those looking to test themselves in a competitive format. The closing date is Saturday 14 September, so don’t delay there is just a week left to get your entry in.

NATIONAL CADET LEAGUE (NCL) AND NATIONAL JUNIOR LEAGUE (NJL)

Entries for the 2024/25 National Cadet League (NCL) and National Junior League (NJL) taking place in Halton are now open. The competitions are aimed at grassroots players looking to get some competitive experience and are for Under-15s (NCL) and Under-19s (NJL). They take place at 15 venues around the country on four weekends throughout the season and last year attracted more than 350 teams. Teams are made up of three players of any gender, who must be Compete members of Table Tennis England.
