As our members will be aware, my time as Chief Executive of Table Tennis England comes to an end on 12 December.

I joined Table Tennis England in December 2021, firstly in an interim capacity, and then permanently a few months later, and throughout my tenure, it has been a privilege to serve our members, develop the organisation and work with an incredibly talented team of staff and some volunteers whose energy and passion I never take for granted.

The launch of Table Tennis United in 2022 was a landmark moment for Table Tennis England. It gave the table tennis community a focus on the pillars that matter most to the future growth and success of the sport in this country – I am delighted how the strategy is being implemented.

Another key moment for us was the winning of the bid to host the ITTF World Team Table Tennis Championship Finals 2026 in London – a monumental opportunity for table tennis in this country with a series of WTT events wrapped around it to ensure the best possible route to greater awareness and visibility of our sport.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for the welcome I received when I joined three years ago. Thank you to those who have given their time to the various committees and working groups, those who have attended AGMs and the various meetings we have held with members, to those who have welcomed me to their clubs and competitions and to those who have taken the time to share their thoughts and views whenever we have seen each other.

Thank you also to our partners who have invested into table tennis, whether that is Sport England, UK Sport, Mark Bates Ltd, the Jack Petchey Foundation, our local community partners to name just a small number.

We could not do what we do without our members and partners and as I step aside, it is now for Sally Lockyer (my successor), the leadership team and the Board, to take the organisation forward and I wish you all every future success.
