Clubs around the Portsmouth area are setting aside any rivalry for a 24-hour charity challenge in aid of BBC Children in Need.

Participants from clubs including Emsworth, Phoenix, Knowle, Soberton & Newtown, Generation 2, Cowplain, Portsmouth, Eastoke, PWC and Avenue Lawn will be working together at Emsworth Community Centre.

They will complete a 24-hour table tennis challenge from noon on Friday November 18 to noon on Saturday November 19, with proceeds to the annual BBC Children in Need appeal.

Organisers from Portsmouth & District TTA are looking for volunteers to help run the event, and anyone interested in taking part can also pay £2 to sign up to play for a two-hour slot.

Donations are also being collected via the Just Giving website.
