Schools Competition

Table Tennis England and the English Schools' Table Tennis Association merged in 2017 and govern the competition pathway for schools.

The competition pathway for Schools in England is governed by a partnership between Table Tennis England and the English Schools’ Table Tennis Association (ESTTA), formalised by a merger which came into effect on September 1, 2017.

ESTTA was formed in 1968 and have since been arranging the yearly National Schools Team and Individual championships. Under the ESTTA umbrella, now taken on by the newly merged English Schools’ Table Tennis, there are 51 County Schools Table Tennis Associations. Affiliated counties hold area qualifying events across England which feed into the National competition pathway.
