Currently, only 17% of coaches in England are women. Not only is it vital we increase the number of women coaching table tennis but the visual representation of these women is so important for our future generations.  

To address this imbalance and work towards the future goal of Gender Parity in the sport, women only coaching courses led by women tutors will be available in 2023. Aspiring coaches can face many barriers when looking to upskill, so by offering a female only environment to learn in, we hope to attract a wider audience who may be more comfortable in this setting.

12^th March, 2023 to 14^th May, 2023

To support women aspiring to be coaches, we will provide a 50% bursary for candidates attending the women only courses in 2023. To qualify for a bursary you will need to meet the below requirements: 

• Attend one of the womens only courses in 2023 
• Identify as a woman 

Applicants from other groups are able to apply to the Charlie Childs Grant Fund for support with their coaching journey.
