The latest episode of our TT Insider series on TTE.TV sees our very own Chloe Ireland chart her progress as she returned to the tournament circuit at last season’s Sussex Women & Girls 2* event.
Chloe, who is TTE.TV Content Creator, explains why she lapsed from playing competitions after leaving the Junior ranks and how the newly introduced Women & Girls series is providing her and others with a route back into the sport by providing tournaments at a level they want.
There are trials and tribulations along the way (including misplacing her bat during the journey!) before she takes to the table in a series of matches.
Women & Girls’ tournaments are part of Table Tennis England’s vision to achieve gender parity in the sport, removing barriers to participation and competition which female players have identified during consultation exercises.
There are a number of women and girls’ tournaments around the country which are currently open for entries – including the latest Sussex tournament, for which entries close on Sunday.

What is TT Insider?
TT Insider is the feature section on TTE.TV which will provide viewers unrivalled access to exciting exclusive content from our sport.
It was launched earlier this year with a film charting the reunion of Liam Pitchford with singer-songwriter Zak Abel, a former teenage table tennis star who took a different path in life.
You can also enjoy Red Black Green, a film about the table tennis life of the Green siblings Connor, Erin and Anna.
TT Insider will feature big personalities, exclusive interviews and footage that you would otherwise not get to see.
