All at Table Tennis England offer their congratulations to the happy couple after the marriage of Mark Bates and JJ.

Mark and JJ were married at St Wulfram’s Church in Grantham on the 23^rd July 2022.  JJ looked stunning walking down the blossom tree lined aisle to Jenny Ball (X Factor finalist) singing I Will Be Here.

The reception followed shortly after at Belton Woods Hotel where the guests were greeted with a red carpet including champagne and canapes on arrival.  When the guests took their seats for the wedding breakfast, they were met with hundreds of white and peach roses displayed on each table, all of which were named after bottles of champagne. The stunning Castle cake sat displayed in the room for all to see, and it truly was a wedding fit for a king and queen, completed with thrones.

During the wedding breakfast Mark, JJ and the guests were serenaded by the very talented Opera Boys who masqueraded as singing waiters.  It was a magnificent experience which kept everyone smiling and humming along during their operatic performance, culminating with a rendition of Nessun Dorma.

The evening commenced with the cutting of the cake followed by a beautifully choreographed first dance to Forest Blakk’s Fall Into Me, leading the way for the rest of the guests to dance and party the night away.
