Facing Milan Vucetic of Montenegro, Dimitrov lost the first game 10-12 but then comfortably took the next two 11-7 and 11-6 to take a 2-1 lead going into the fourth. Unfortunately, the young English player couldn’t quite hold his nerve to progress into the final, losing the next two games 8-11 and 10-12.

In the U13s competition, Dimitrov failed to make it past the Round of 16, losing 1-3 to Louis Fegerl of Austria, which was the best Max Radiven could achieve in the U15 boys singles too, losing narrowly to Zining Wang of China 2-3.

This was one stage further than Kacper Piwowar who crashed out in the Round of 32 to Soh Yoshida of Japan 0-3, who eventually went on to win the competition against Soma Ono, also of Japan, 3-2.

Abraham Sellado also made it out of the Group stages to the Round of 64 but lost to Italian opponent Giulio Campagna 0-3.

In the U17 Boys Singles competition, Larry Trumpauskas made it to the last 32, but lost to Jungmok Lee of Korea Republic 1-3, which was one better than Isaac Kingham who went out in the Round of 64, losing 0-3 to Alan Kurmangaliyev of Kazakhstan. Rohan Dani, Kacper Piwowar, Ralph Pattison and Max Radiven also exited the competition in the Round of 64 to Shunto Iwaida (JPN), Marcel Blaszczyk (POL), Zining `Wang (CHN) and Seungsoo Lee (KOR) respectively.

And, finally in the U19s, Connor Green made it through to the Round of 32, but lost out to 15 year old Yiren Tang of China 1-3, who went on to reach the semi-finals. Rohan Dani, Ralph Pattison, Isaac Kingham and Larry Trumpauskas also made it out of their groups to the Round of 64 losing 1-3, 0-3, 0-3, 1-3 respectively.

Meanwhile, at the Youth Contender in Varazdin in Croatia, Tianer Yu went out in the Round of 64 in the Girls Singles U19 competition against Taemin Kim of Korean Republic 1-3, whilst Hannah Saunders failed to progress out of the Group stages.

Tianer Yu managed to go one step further in the U17 competition beating her German opponent Lisanne Tschimpke 3-0 in the round of 64 and making it through to the round of 32 when she met another opponent from the Korean Republic, Dahye Lee, who beat Yu in three straight sets 0-3.

In the U15s, Hannah Saunders was again unable to progress out of the Group Stages, losing 0-3, 1-3 against her opponents in Group 1. Saunders faired much better in the U13s competition, winning two games in the Group stages 3-0 and 3-0.
