Brighton know they will play Ormesby for the title on May 17th, but will want to get there with another win under their belt. Thanks to their superior sets ratio they could fall to Drumchapel Glasgow this weekend and still play for the Premier Division crown against the north-east outfit next month. However, that isn’t the way they have approached the campaign.

In truth the south-coast side have been almost untouchable this season. Their only blemish was a nail-biting loss to Ormesby, in which they dropped 3 of the 9 sets they have lost all this year.

For Drumchapel Glasgow a win would do wonders for their league position. They have had a challenging season, showing glimpses of their talent but unable to convert it into wins. They sit bottom of the table with just one victory. Victor Guang Shi (pictured) has been the mainstay of their team, one of only a few to play in every round of the league so far. Aaron McKibbin was instrumental in their only win so far as he helped them overcome North Ayrshire back in December.

In the only other tie to take place on Saturday, Fusion have the opportunity to leapfrog their opponents this weekend should they win. They welcome North Ayrshire to London for a fourth versus fifth tie.

A victory for North Ayrshire would almost certainly cement their fourth place in the league, and even set them up for the slightest chance of playing for third against BATTS next month.

Fusion are still hunting for a second victory of the campaign with their sets ratio the only thing keeping them off the bottom of the table. It’s sure to be an intriguing and close affair, with plenty still to play for as the season reaches its conclusion.
