It looks like a case of friends reunited for England’s Junior Boys when the European Youth Championships gets under way on Friday.
The squad of Connor Green, Isaac Kingham, Ralph Pattison, Ben Piggott and Larry Trumpauskas are seeded 21st and have been drawn to face both Wales and Scotland in Group I of the team event, so will be sure to face some familiar opponents.
To add to the spice, the fourth team in the group, Luxembourg, is the nation where former England pathway coach Ryan Jenkins now plies his trade.
The Junior Girls squad of Anna Green, Sienna Jetha, Ella Pashley and Tianer Yu are seeded 15th and have been drawn in Group A against top seeds Poland, plus Italy and Portugal.
In the Cadet Boys’ event, the England line-up of Adam Alibhai, Kacper Piwowar, Max Radiven and Abraham Sellado are seeded ninth and will face Italy, Austria and Sweden in Group B.
The tournament in Malmo, Sweden, begins with the team events, followed by the individual competitions which start next Wednesday.
