England have named a full-strength men’s squad of four for the World Team Championships in Busan, South Korea, next month.
Liam Pitchford, Paul Drinkhall, Tom Jarvis and Sam Walker will travel alongside coach John Murphy and Head of Performance Development Gavin Evans.
England have been drawn in Group 2 with Germany, USA, Kazakhstan and Saudi Arabia for the tournament, which starts on February 16. England women did not qualify.
On top of the usual incentive of performing on the world stage, teams reaching the quarter-finals will qualify a team spot and two singles places for the Paris Olympics in the summer.
Evans said: “The Championships represents a fantastic opportunity for us to take one more step in qualifying for Paris 2024.
“The team are in tremendous shape. John Murphy has worked incredibly hard preparing them for their moment in Busan and I very much look forward to flying out with the team and supporting them in their quest for Olympic qualifying this summer.”
After Busan, the next edition of the World Team Championships will be the centenary edition in Wembley in 2026.
