The Sussex Women and Girls 1* on Sunday October 22 will be the first of many Women and Girls events during the 2023/24 season.
The tournament will have a familiar, successful format identical to last year, with Over and Under-21s in the morning and an Open Event for all players in the afternoon.
It is the perfect event for all those up and coming new players and those looking to test themselves in a competitive format. Closing date is Sunday October 15, so there is just over a week left to get those entries in.
The day before the tournament (Saturday October 21), there will be a female-only training session run by tournament organiser and Table Tennis England director Sally Hughes.
Level 3 Head Coach Matt Porter, who has worked with performance players in England, Scotland, Wales and Cyprus, will lead the session, which aims to build players’ confidence for competitions.
The session is from 4-6pm at Bevendean Primary School in Brighton and is for a maximum of 12 places. The cost is £10 – contact Sally Hughes to book a place.
