With only two points separating the top seven teams in the league table, the second weekend of Senior British Clubs League, Championship Division action is sure to be as exciting as the first.

A competitive first weekend saw every team claim at least one point and no team remain unbeaten – a contrast to last season when champions London Academy were never defeated.

With London no longer in the division the other teams all looked capable of taking points off each other, though it was Wymondham who led the standings with 6pts, just one point ahead of a clutch of four teams.

Meet the teams

Wymondham’s first fixture sees them up against weekend one’s outstanding player, Max Radiven of Perry Dale. His eight wins from eight sees him top the averages and was a big part of Perry Dale sitting in fourth place.

The left-hander’s stock has further risen in the period since the first weekend, having won two titles on the WTT Youth Contender circuit – taking the Under-15 Boys’ Singles golds in both Georgia and Kosovo.

Second-placed Woodford Wells take on Wensum, who were winless but did draw twice on weekend one, while hosts Nottingham, who sit third, will face Ormesby II in the first round of fixtures on Saturday.

BATTS II versus bottom club Urban, and Milton Keynes v Ormeau, complete the first round of fixtures.

With three more to follow, the clubs will have played eight matches by the end of Sunday as the competition moves towards its halfway point.
