Ahead of the first Senior British League weekend of the season, Jake Haygarth has been presented with his award as the 2021/22 SBL Player of the Season.

Jake received the accolade during a training session at his club, Ormesby. Club Chairman Alan Ransome OBE made the presentation and spoke about Jake’s achievements to other members of the club’s Top Squad.

The 16-year-old had some impressive statistics last season, winning all 20 of his matches for Ormesby III in Division 1A and also stepping up to the club’s second team, winning four out of eight matches in the Championship division.

He also got vital experience for the future when he played for the first team, who were the SBL Premier Division champions, against Fusion.
