Sienna Jetha reached the quarter-finals at the WTT Youth Contender Helsingborg, while Max Radiven beat team-mate Kacper Piwowar on his way to the last 16.

Jetha won her group in the Under-15 Girls’ Singles and then had a fine comeback from 2-0 down to beat Ahona Ray of India 3-2 (7-11, 3-11, 11-6, 11-2, 11-6) in the last 16.

Her run was ended in the quarter-finals by third seed Chen Min-Hsin of Chinese Taipei, who went on to win the competition.

Jetha also reached the main draw in the Under-17s, losing in four to another player from Chinese Taipei, Hsieh Hsin-Jung, in the last 32.

Max Radiven’s place in the last 16 of the Under-15 Boys’ Singles was the best result on the boys’ side. He and Kacper Piwowar both qualified for the knockout stage and Radiven won in the last 64 to set up a match against Piwowar in the last 32.

Radiven won that 3-0 (11-4, 11-9, 11-9) but was knocked out in the last 16 by Kim Kanghyun of South Korea, a lower-ranked player who nonetheless went on to reach the final.

Abraham Sellado and Adam Alibhai went out in the group stage, Alibhai on a three-way countback having beaten Peadar Sheridan from the GB Start squad.

In the Under-19s, Connor Green won his group but went out in the last 32 to Federico Vallino of Italy, ranked seven places above him at No 89 in the Junior rankings. Rohan Dani was unable to get out of a group which included top seed Tiago Abiodun of Portugal.

In the Under-17s, Dani, Sellado and Radiven reached the knockouts, while Piwowar and Alibhai went out in the groups. Radiven exited in the last 64 and Sellado and Dani in the last 32 – Sellado to fourth seed Wassim Essid of Tunisia, the world No 34 Junior.

In the Under-15 Mixed Doubles, Radiven & Jetha won their first-round match against Philip Theisen (LUX) & Li Jen-Yueh (TPE) to reach the last 16, where they were defeated by top seeds Chen Yi-Jui & Chen Min-Hsin of Chinese Taipei, who went on to win the gold.
