Liam McTiernan has been elected to the Board of Table Tennis England for a four-year term, while Ritchie Venner has been re-elected for a second four-year term.
Nominations for the election for two Elected Directors have now closed and both Liam and Ritchie have been nominated by at least two Company Members and have consented to their nomination.
Both candidates have also supplied their up-to-date CVs and their election statements and have not withdrawn their consents to nomination in the withdrawal period. Click below to read the candidates’ election statements.
The Nominations Committee have confirmed to the Board that both candidates met the requirements of the role and therefore both of the candidates are deemed to be ‘confirmed candidates’.
Returning Officer Caroline Williams has confirmed that, as no other candidates were nominated for the two vacancies, there is no need for a ballot to be held and therefore Liam and Ritchie have both been elected unopposed to serve as Elected Directors for a four-year term which will start on 12 May 2025 – the originally announced election date.
This brings the total number of Elected Directors on the Board to five, in line with the approval of a Resolution at the last AGM which increased the number from four to five.
