Lowri Hurd topped the podium with her partner in the Friendship Doubles event at the International School Sports Federation Gymnasiade in Bahrain. This was an unconventional and complicated event where partners are changed after every round, in the final Lowri partnered with a boy from Bahrain.

In the main event, the highest individual placement for the England contingent was Hiko Yan, who sadly missed out a podium place after a 3-1 defeat against Liu Shih-Ming (Chinese Taipei) in the quarter-finals.

This concludes the competition, which undoubtedly was a great learning experience for the youngsters who will take away many positives from their time in Bahrain.
