Bishop Auckland Table Tennis Club is delighted to announce that they have teamed up with the Butterwick Hospice at Bishop Auckland as the club’s Charity of the Year for 2014-15.

Matthew Porter, Chairman of the Club said: “we are glad we are able to further our relationship with Butterwick Hospice. as a club we aim to help improve the local community and create opportunities though the sport of table tennis. Through this partnership we firmly believe that together we can really help the local community and further aid the hospice and the fantastic work they do.”

Laura Douthwaite, Fundraiser for Butterwick Hospice said: “We are delighted to be working with Bishop Auckland Table Tennis Club in the upcoming year. There is such a strong sense of community within the club and this fits perfectly with the ethos within the Hospice. The club raised over £750 last year with a 24-hour Pongathon at the Hospice and we are hoping to build on this over the next year. “

The first joint event will be a family fun day at Bishop Barrington School on 18th May with table tennis, competitions and facepainting. For more information please contact Matt Porter on 07411018856 or [email protected]
